Boeing Potentially Lost $ 20B orders due to the US withdraw from Iran nuclear deal

US President Donald Trump's decision on Tuesday to withdraw from Iran's nuclear deal will threaten the potential revenues of the Boeing multinational. The world's largest aircraft company already has a $ 20B total fleet deal with Iranian airlines. CNBC reported, in the first quarter of this year, Boeing received orders of more than 5,800 aircraft, including more than 4,600 orders for the Boeing 737.

Boeing has not listed a project from Iranian airlines on its order book. However, Boeing's competitor, Airbus, has put orders from Iranian airlines into the list. "In relation to today's announcement, we will consult with the US government for the next step," said Boeing's speaker.

CNN proclaimed that Boeing has agreed to sell 80 aircraft to Iran Air and an additional 30 units for Iran Aseman Airlines. Previously, Boeing once declared its biggest deal with Iranian airlines in December 2016. At that time, Iran Air ordered 80 jet aircraft, including 50 units of Boeing 737 MAX 8.

April 2017, Iran Aseman Airlines signed a purchase agreement for 30 units of Boeing 737 Max aircraft and will be added another 30 units. When announcing an agreement with Iran Air, Boeing said the plane's order was able to create 100,000 jobs in the US.

In the same month, Airbus said it sold 100 aircraft to Iran Air. Although European countries do not impose sanctions against Iran, Airbus's sale to Iran could be inhibited by US sanctions, since Airbus used some of its raw materials from the United States. "We carefully analyzed the announcement," Airbus said in a statement.
