At least 52 Palestinians died in clashes with Israeli troops over protests against the transfer of US embassy to Jerusalem. Clashes that occurred on the Gaza-Israel border.
The violence came ahead of the official opening of the United States Embassy in Jerusalem on Monday, sparking anger among Palestinians.
The inauguration of the US embassy triggered anger of Palestinians as seen as US support for Israeli occupation of the entire city of Jerusalem, which the eastern part claimed Palestine territory and planned to become the future Capital of Palestinian state.
US President, Donald Trump, did not attend the inauguration of the embassy in Jerusalem and sent a statement of praise through a video message.
To the guests who attended the inauguration, he said it was long awaited by adding, "Israel is a sovereign nation and is entitled to determine their capital but for several years we fail to recognize it."

USA, said Trump, will remain "committed to facilitating a lasting peace agreement '.
Palestinians called the clashes a 'massacre'. The Palestinians condemned it.
"The horrific massacre was carried out by Israeli soldiers against the heroics," Palestinian spokesman Youssef Mahmoud told Reuters.
Clashes broke out at five points along the Gaza and Israeli border. The rally on Monday (14/5) was held ahead of 'Nakba' or 'catastrophe which falls on May 15, 1948, when hundreds of thousands Palestinians were driven from their homes.
Palestinians throw stones and incendiary devices while the Israeli military mobilizes snipers, while black smoke appears to soar from burning tires.
The Health Ministry - run by the Hamas group that controls Gaza - says children are among the dead.
The protests led by Hamas has been going on for six weeks so-called 'Great Parade Round'.
Israel says the protest is aimed at breaching the border and attacking the surrounding Israeli community.
The Israeli military says 40,000 Palestinians participated in 'violent riots' in 13 locations along the border fence in the Gaza.
They said soldiers killed three Palestinians who were trying to plant bombs near a security fence in Rafah. Warplanes and tanks also targeted positions belonging to Hamas in northern Gaza.
There were also violent clashes between Israeli police and protesters who raised the Palestinian flag outside the new US embassy in Jerusalem and several protesters were detained.
