Trump re-open opportunities summit with Kim Jong Un on June 12

Washington DC - The summit plan of US President Donald Trump with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore was canceled. However, now Trump said there is still a chance that the meeting will be held on June 12 next.

"We'll see what happens, it could be 12 (June), we're talking to them, they really want to meet, we also want to do it," Trump said on Saturday (26/5/2018).

The Trump statement following a reply from Pyongyang stating diplomatic opportunity is still open, which is seen as very good news.

Last Thursday (24/5), Trump canceled the planned meeting with Kim Jong Un which was originally held on 12 June in Singapore. The cancellation was delivered by Trump through a letter to Kim.

Previously many world leaders have regretted the summit cancellation between Trump and Kim Jong Un. Therefore, meeting the two figures is important to discuss the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and reduce tensions between the US and North Korea.
