Blue Origin has just announced its plans to sell suborbital flight tickets to tourists interested in space travel next year.

The space company founded by Jeff Bezos is expected to soon test flight with the crew using the New Shepard launch system.

"We are planning to start selling tickets in 2019," said Blue Origin Senior Vice President, Rob Meyerson quoted from Gizmodo, Monday (24/06/2018).

Passengers traveling to space will be placed in capsules powered by a reusable New Shepard rocket. This capsule can contain 6 passengers and has an interior area of 530 square feet (49 square meters).

Once the capsule passes the boundaries between Earth's atmosphere and outer space - passengers can take off their seatbelts and feel floating without gravity. After that, the capsule will return to Earth assisted by a parachute and landed in the desert area of Texas.

Blue Origin has not yet run a New Shepard system test with a crew.

To date, Blue Origin has run eight trials, with the final test on 29 April. The trial successfully launches, capsule separation with rockets, and capsule landing.

Blue Origin is scheduled to test flights again this summer. While for flight test with the crew is expected to be done at the end of this year.
