The Evolution of Transportation Technology is getting closer to reality

Companies engaged in transportation industry invest massively in time and huge resources to create the concept of innovation in transportation.

Perhaps in the near future, this seemingly impossible fictional technology can happen. Mobility is certainly increased drastically with the existence of this technology.

Reported by CNN, several technologies are being developed, one of them is a flying car.

Large companies like Uber, Boeing, and Airbus are actively developing this technology in order to be realized. Uber working together with NASA, recently gave a detailed explanation about their ambitious target of introducing a flying cab within the next five years.

Consumers can order via Uber app. Although it looked like a helicopter, Uber believed that flying taxis would be cheaper and safer than helicopters.

"If you have an app that can book a five-minute flight and get through the entire tunnel to get out of New York City, it's a great opportunity," said ARK Investment Analyst Sam Korus.

Another possible technology is Hyperloop which was introduced by Elon Musk. Technologies such as trains can go about 1,100 kilometers per hour which is actually twice the fastest train today.

Now consumers no longer need to bother to airport. Because it takes about 55 minutes by plane and only thirty minutes by Hyperloop. So far the company has built 500 meters Hyperloop trajectory test in Nevada, United States.

But the challenge is still quite significant, as beginning the construction of hundreds kilometers Hyperloop traffic will spend billions of dollars. Then the path is built must be straight without any bends so that passengers not nauseous.  This will take years to solve this problem

Musk also has a subway technology called "Loop". Subway construction had previously slowed down in America due to high-cost maintenance. The futuristic concept of "Loop" is progressing in the city of Los Angeles.

The company is nearing completion of a tunnel under the city that will allow people to drive a car or pod at speeds of up to 277 kilometers per hour.

Of course, this technology will bring solutions to congestion in the cities. This high-speed system will allow people to get through traffic jams and surround the city faster. The company also said it was building a "Loop" network to connect two adjacent cities, such as Baltimore and Washington.

Nevertheless, severe experts warn the tunnel can also be jammed. In theory, density can occur at the mouth tunnel entrance. In the next few months, Musk says there will be a free "Loop" driving service.
Next is the technology that is able to change car interior. Through Toyota's concept of e-Pallete vehicles, public transportation can turn into a walking shop or delivery truck and a self-driving car technology. Great advances in computer systems and software, their dream car without a driver not only nonsense.

Automated computer algorithms can identify objects, such as pedestrians, red lights, or road markings with impressive accuracy. Cameras and radar with very much data can help plan a safe trip to a destination.

Drive.ai recently, a startup developing car software without a driver says there will be a free riding service to passengers in Texas.

However, obstacles in this technology are still there. Many people are still afraid to use cars without drivers. In March, a driverless car crashed and killed pedestrians in Arizona. This raises a sense of skepticism about this technology.
