Vogue Arabia celebrated historic law allowing women to drive in Saudi Arabia since June 24. The celebration was presented by a cover featuring Princess Hayfa bint Abdullah Al Saudi who posed in the driver's seat.

June edition magazine is dedicated to monumental royal changes. The edition also features interviews with women of history breaking in Saudi Arabia, from models, designers, to actresses and activists. This iconic cover photo is taken in the Jeddah desert by Irish fashion photographer, Boo George, who recently photographed Kim Kardashian for Elle USA magazine.

This photoshoot is the first time for the Princess. Previously, she never appeared on the cover of any magazine. She also looks beautiful by wearing white clothing combined with a matching hijab when photoshoot. "In our country, there are some conservatives who fear change," she commented during the interview. "For many, that's what they know. Personally, I support this change with great enthusiasm, "she added.

She also argues that it is very easy to comment other people countries and think that their own country is superior. "But the West must remember that each country's specific and unique. We have strengths and weaknesses but, always, it is our culture, and it's better to try to understand rather than make a judge," she added.

People in the kingdom rejoiced when King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud announced in September 2017 that the driving ban for women would eventually repeal. Currently even available taxi applications with 1,000 female drivers who register directly.

The magazine cover concept was conceived by Vogue's managing editor, Manuel Arnaut, who believes Saudi Arabia is in the midst of a historic change. "Knowing such an extraordinary woman taking part in putting together the future of Arab world makes me look forward the good times ahead," he said.
