Trump and Kim Jong Un Signed Agreement on Denuclearization in historic summit

SINGAPORE, United States President Donald Trump, and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un signed a joint document at Capella Hotel, Singapore, Tuesday (6/12/2018). This historic document becomes a way for the North to begin denuclearization immediately. After having lunch together, the two leaders sat together to sign a document called a comprehensive agreement by Trump.

  "I want to thank both sides, including Minister Pompeo (US Secretary of State)," Trump told media crew when signing the document.

Trump had time to show the documents that had been signed by both. When finished, the two shake hands again and leave the room. "We are very proud of what happened today," Trump said. Previously, Trump and Kim Jong Un met in private. In a face-to-face for 38 minutes, Trump and Kim accompanied the translator. After leaving the room to the other room, the two greeted media crew from Hotel Capella balcony

"Very, very good, great relationship," he said on Tuesday (06/12/2010). Furthermore, Trump and Kim resume bilateral meetings with their advisors. Then, forwarded by signing the document together.

Meanwhile, Kim expressed his gratitude to Trump for this meeting.

"We had a very historic meeting and we're going to sign a historic document," Kim said.

The signing was done on one of the antique furniture made by local craftsmen in 1939. The table was once used by the Supreme Court of Singapore and was deliberately borrowed by the US embassy for the Trump and Kim meetings.

The Kim and Trump encounter marks the first time in history that there are leaders from North Korea and the US face-to-face.

North Korea and US relations have heated up throughout 2017 when the North continues to test its missiles and nuclear. Kim and Trump often throw insult to each other and even to threat of war.

At the same time, South Korea is led by President Moon Jae-in who puts forward a soft approach to his neighboring country. Officially, the two Koreas are still enemies of war.

Moon's wishes were greeted by Kim's sudden change in his year-end speech saying he wanted to improve relations with South Korea. After that, the two countries agreed to start a peaceful process and dialogue with the US
