US media reported, during 2018, there were 29 deaths at school due to shooting cases with most of the victims were students. While there were only 13 death reports of military members in the same period. The number of deaths and shootings in schools during 2018 is even higher than it has ever been in the same time frame over the past 17 years.

Finally, the case of mass shooting at US schools occurred on Friday (18/05/2018), in Santa Fe High School, Texas, killing 10 people.
The perpetrator is a 17-year-old teenager, named Dimitrios Pagourtzis. He was carrying rifle and revolvers, as well as explosives. The incident occurred just three months after the mass shootings at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on February 14 that killed 17 people.
