A car bomb killed at least 26 people at a meeting of Taliban and Afghan armed forces in Nangarhar on Saturday (16/6). In fact, the army and rebels in other parts of the country are celebrating Eid ceasefire that has never happened before.
Dozens of unarmed Taliban militants have previously entered Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan and other cities to celebrate Idul Fitri. Soldiers and militants even exchanged hugs and take Selfie on their smartphones.
However, in some provinces, the rebels carry rocket launchers, grenades, and other ammunition.
Attaullah Khogyani, a spokesman for Nangarhar Province Governor, confirmed that a car bomb was responsible for the attack on the city of Ghazi Aminullah Khan, on the main road of Torkham-Jalalabad. He had previously said rocket-propelled grenades were to blame, instead of car bombs.

The Taliban announced a surprise three-day ceasefire during the Idul Fitri holiday, which began on Friday, except for foreign troops. That overlaps with an Afghan government ceasefire that lasts until Wednesday.
President Ashraf Ghani said in a speech that he would extend a ceasefire with the Taliban, but did not provide a time frame. He also called on the Taliban to extend their three-day ceasefire, which will end on Sunday.

ISIS Amaq's media revealed it shortly after the explosion. It said the bomb targeted the meeting of Afghan troops, but did not provide further details.
