Robbie Williams will be the singer at the opening ceremony of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
World Cup 2018 in Russia will start rolling on Thursday (14/06/2018) at 22:00 pm. Russia vs Saudi Arabia at the Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow, became the first match to be rolled.
Half an hour before kick-off begins or 21:30 pm, there will be a stage action from Robbie Williams, which marks the opening of 2018 World Cup event. Robbie will perform together with Russian opera singer Aida Garifullina.
"I am very excited and eager to return to Russia for such a unique show," Robbie said as quoted by the Telegraph.
"I've done a lot of things in my career, and appearing to open the FIFA World Cup in front of 80 thousand football fans in the stadium and millions of people around the world feels like a childhood dream come true," he added.
According to FIFA, the opening ceremony of the 2018 World Cup has a slightly different format than the previous edition, with a special focus on music action.
About 500 dancers, gymnasts and trampoline performer will also appear in this opening, which will add to the excitement of the opening ceremony.
