Vettel Crash, Hamilton Win F1-Germany GP

Hockenheim - The dramatic race is presented at the German Formula 1 GP. Sebastian Vettel crashes while leading up to failure to finish, while Lewis Hamilton champions from 14 start position.

In the race at the Hockenheim circuit on Sunday (7/22/2018), Vettel who started from the leading position immediately shot off the start. He dominated and opened the distance from Valtteri Bottas in second position.

Bad luck, the Ferrari driver was even widened and hit the wall in the 53rd round. Vettel failed to continue the race and Bottas took over his position in this round.

But Bottas took the lead shortly after picking the pits. Hamilton, who has since continued to improve his position, in the process took the lead and successfully guarded it from Bottas's pressure.

Hamilton was the first finish, followed by teammate, Bottas. While the third finish is achieved for Ferrari Raikkonen.

With this result, Hamilton took the top spot in the championship standings with a total of 188 points. Vettel had to settle down to second place with 171 points. Raikkonen and Bottas respectively in positions 3-4 with 131 and 122 points.

Red Bull's Max Verstappen ranks fourth after starting from the same position. Nico Hulkenberg was behind him and in front of Romain Grosjean.

Force India driver Sergio Perez completed the race in seventh rank, ahead of teammate Esteban Ocon and Marcus Ericsson. Toro Rosso completed the top 10 after Brendon Hartley finished tenth.
