Israeli troops claimed to have evacuated hundreds of members of civil defense groups dubbed the media as White Helmets from the war zone in southern Syria.
The Israeli military (IDF) declared "having completed humanitarian efforts by rescuing members of Syrian civil organizations and their families" due to "direct threats to their lives".
The IDF claims the action was carried out after a request from the United States and European countries.
At least 800 members of the White Helmets work in the opposition-ruled southwestern region of Syria, but are later trapped by Syrian military strikes.
By Israeli troops they were evacuated to Jordan via the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights.
IDF does not mention the name of White Helm or their receiving country.
Clearly, according to the IDF, the civilians were moved "through Israel" and "then to neighboring countries".
The Jordanian news agency, Petra, reported the country "has allowed the United Nations to regulate the movement of about 900 Syrians through Jordan for resettlement in Western countries".
The Western countries in question, as Petra states, include Britain, Canada and Germany.
White Helmets call themselves volunteers who help rescue people in the war zone of Syria.
They claim to be non-partisan, but supporters of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his ally Russia have accused them of being linked to jihadist groups.
In 2016, the group won the Nobel Peace Prize.
The Syrian government staged a massive offensive to seize rebel territory in Daraa and Quneitra.
Recent agreements were made allowing the rebel forces to move to the still-held northern part of the opposition.
