Marquez win in tight race Dutch MotoGP


Marc Marquez wins the Dutch MotoGP in 2018, which was held at the Assen circuit, Sunday (1/7). While Valentino Rossi left in the fifth position.

Racing runs fierce from the start. There are at least five leading positions involving Marquez, Jorge Lorenzo, Valentino Rossi, Andrea Dovizioso and Maverick Vinales.

Marc Marquez who started from the leading position had dominated the first lap, but successfully overtaken by Jorge Lorenzo.

Valentino Rossi overtook Marquez for second place behind Lorenzo at least until the sixth lap. However, the Yamaha Movistar rider is unable to perform consistently and continues to sag to finish in the fifth position.

While Andrea Dovizioso starts in the fourth is slowly but sure able to pass the rider in front of him, including Rossi, Marquez, and Lorenzo on lap-14.

Dovizioso even had to overtake each other to lead the race on lap 18 before being overtaken by Maverick Vinales on lap-19. Interestingly, Marquez returned to the lead since lap 20.

On the 21st lap, tight competition takes place. Marquez who was at the front got pressure from three other riders, Vinales, Dovizioso, and Rossi. Rossi had a lead at the end of the 22nd lap after Marquez and Vinales widened off the track.

However, Marquez and Dovizioso again took over the first and second positions to leave their competitors since lap 23.

Marquez managed to keep his position until the end of the race followed by Alex Rin, and Vinales. While Rossi must be left to fifth place at the end of the race.
